Suzie Vinnick Performs in Pickering
2010 Maple Blues Award winner, Suzie Vinnick, stopped by Pickering's Waterfront Bistro on March 11th to sing some jazzy tunes and to greet one-hundred of her closest fans. The singer from Saskatoon is also a bassist, guitarist, saxophone player, and pianist. The self-taught musician is one of the busiest session players and singers in the Canadian blues/roots music and jazz communities. Vinnick is a frequent headliner at festivals across the country and has shared the Massey Hall stage as musical director, appeared on CBC Radio's Saturday Night Blues with Holger Petersen, toured with Stuart McLean's Vinyl Café and performed for Canadian peacekeepers in Bosnia and the Persian Gulf.
