Rosebank Public School Raises Funds For Haiti
The students at Rosebank Public School recently organized a mid day dance to raise money for the quake victims in Haiti. Led by their Student Council, President Andrea Parsons said, "the event was initiated to influence other students and schools to run similar fundraising events." VP & Treasurer Jessica Kyriacou added, "admission to the event is $5.00 and is open to grades 4 through 8. We will also be selling chocolate bars & juice boxes to raise additional money." The gym was decorated with red & blue balloons to match the Haitian flag. All money raised will be going to The Red Cross of Canada.
