Petting Zoo and Fun Fest at Your Independent Grocer
The owners of Allan's Your Independent Grocer invited the public to Glendale Marketplace's annual Petting Zoo and Fun Fest on June 12. Despite the rainy weather, the public enjoyed a wide array of free activities including a petting zoo, face painting, balloon animals, inflatable bouncer, a live DJ and a visit from the local Pickering fire department. There were special deals for the customers of Your Independent Grocer. Owners Tyler and Karrie Allan also hosted a barbecue with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society. Their newly renovated store is located at the corner of Dixie and Finch, and is open from 8 am to midnight seven days a week.
