Highbush Public School presents "The Beatles Slept Here"
Students from Highbush Public School brought the house down with their mysterious yet amusing rendition of "The Beatles Slept Here". The play, which debuted June 16th, was composed of twenty five students from grades 5-8. Under the direction of teachers Ms. Vicky Petrogiani and Mrs. Alison Ovenell, the students had rehearsed since January outside of school time. Also involved was the choir and band, led by Kevin Reid, Lindsay Avison, and Abby Estwani. Special thanks to the stage, sound, and technical crew, who helped make the play a rousing success. Instead of an admission fee, audience members were asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to less fortunate members of the community.
