A Night To Remember 2008
Nearly one-hundred youths and veterans gathered at Scarborough's Dalton Armoury for the fourth annual "A Night to Remember" presented by The Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care. This year's theme recognized and honoured the unique connection between youth and veterans that has always existed. MP Scarborough-Pickering East, Dan McTeague, was the evening's master of ceremony. The Black Dog Pub catered the formal event complete with appetizers, dinner, desserts, coffee and a cash bar. The event supported veterans and funds were raised through a silent and live auction, balloon pop and an Air Canada ticket raffle. Earlier in the day The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario dropped by Tony Stacey Centre for Veterans Care. The visit came just before Remembrance Day, one of the most recognized days at this long-term care facility for veterans, their spouses/dependants and community members.
